Dr Janagan Alagarajah (MD) is Technical Lead at YLabs, a non-profit organization that designs, implements, and evaluates digital and in-person youth-friendly projects in low and middle-income countries. He has over eight years of experience as a public health physician, with a background in psychiatry and sexual health, and a Master of Public Health degree from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine.
His core competencies include leading multidisciplinary teams, conducting data analysis, and applying human-centred design principles to create impactful and innovative solutions for mental health, sexual and reproductive health, and nutrition. He has designed digital tools for marginalized youth, such as HIV positive, young mothers, and unemployed, in Rwanda and Tanzania, using a data-driven and participatory approach. His mission is to improve the health and well-being of young people around the world through digital technology and evidence-based interventions.
