Dr Andrew J. Greenshaw, University of Alberta Professor of Psychiatry and Neuroscience and Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, trained in Europe and Canada. A Fellow of the Canadian College of Neuropsychopharmacology (CCNP), for which he served as President from 2000-2002, and the Collegium Internationale Neuropsychopharmacologicum (CINP), Andy served as the University of Alberta Associate Vice President (Research) and served as a member of the Scientific Advisory Board of the CIHR Institute of Neuroscience Mental Health & Addiction.
Andy has broad research interests that range from neuroscience to policy in mental health, with particular interests in AI and machine learning applications and e-health. Andy is a founding member of the University of Alberta Computational Psychiatry group, working closely with Alberta Machine Intelligence Institute members. He is the Board Chair of MHRC, Canada’s only non-governmental funding agency for mental health and, since 2016, has served as Scientific Director for the APEC Digital Hub for Mental Health.
